Experience comes from previous bad decisions. Education and Training are the secret sauce of gaining experience through other’s ordeals. Without a structured training program, your team may receive the wrong training, or receive training in the wrong order. This leads to misconceptions and adults will automatically fill the gaps from their other experiences. This leads to, although well intentioned, chaos and confusion. At APS we call this training from MSU. Every intelligent and driven person will admit that you automatically do this when you are researching something new. MSU stands for Make Stuff Up (University). Structured training programs minimize the chance that your staff gets their training in gaps and will fill in those gaps with lessons from MSU. Hind sight is 20/20 for this very reason.

APStrain is now combining our structured training programs into one place. Training is provided three ways.

Fist we provide nationally recognized standards, definitions and most importantly the history behind the subject. Once you learn the history behind the subject you will understand why this exists and better understand the intent without going down the MSU rabbit hole.

Second, we provide online training from our site and links to our vetted online quality training sites. Now armed with the proper perspective, the same training has a deeper impact and your personal interpretation of the training for your individual situation will be more accurately applied.

Third, we provide in-person and hybrid training events which enable peer to peer exchanges and networking. It takes the village to TRAIN the village, that is why the rising tide floats all the boats.

Every learned skill requires some type of education and training. The most common form of training is On the Job Training or OJT. This method eventually pay off.
